Cool Words for a Hot Day

Posted by Rev. Ben Trammell on

Friends,

It snowed in San Antonio.

Not today. Today it was hot. Really, really hot.

But it snowed in San Antonio. I have a picture to prove it.

Actually, it’s not proof I need. I need to remember, and when it comes to memory, a picture is worth far more than a thousand words.

It is hot today, but I remember when it was cold. It is hot today, but cool air will blow again, and it might even snow in South Texas.

The way things are have not always been…and the way things are will not always be.

We are a people of hope who remember what God has already done in Jesus Christ. So if today is hard, it hurts, or is just too hot, remember:  it hasn’t always been this way and it won’t always be this way.

The picture to prove this is the body of Christ gathered to worship, to study, to eat, to laugh and to serve. But it’s not proof we need. We just need to be reminded.

Blessings,

Pastor Ben
