We Can All Worship

And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

 Friends,

Sunday morning was a great time of celebrating the Body of Christ as we all came together for a time of worship, hearing the Word and communion. The pastors, staff and volunteers made it easy for the Believer’s Garden service to happen even though they all had to change the way they normally did things. We experienced God’s love in a remarkable way by the oneness we felt when we all worshipped together.

There were times before, during and after the service where we saw God among us. We loved how the high school seniors got up and joined in during the opening song. That act of worship and acceptance was such a blessing! We appreciated how the church was so willing to be a part of a worship and message style that was different from the norm. For me (Susan) my favorite part of the morning was hearing over 600 voices reading God’s Word together. The sound was powerful! My (Brian) favorite part was when we all joined together in song after communion, it felt like one big happy family. We loved how great our choir sounded and how everyone joyously celebrated their offer of worship to God.

University is a church that believes people who have special needs can worship, learn, and be a part of telling the beautiful story of Jesus to make a difference in our world. This is a very blessed place to be as we act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God and “become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.”

Blessings,
Susan and Brian
