 Day School Kindergarten Teacher (Non-Exempt, Full-time)

University United Methodist Church currently has an opening for a Kindergarten teacher M-F 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

The successful applicant must be a person committed to Christ and His church with a love of children and their families, have a desire to serve in team ministry, be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and have a negative T.B. test. Qualified candidates must be certified to teach kindergarten. Prior experience is preferred but not necessary. The day school follows the NISD school calendar for dates of operation. Special Needs Caregiver – (Part-time 2-10 hours, Non Exempt)

 Would you like to work with children who have special needs - to better understand their lives, their abilities and the ways they serve God and others? If so, then our Special Needs Ministry needs YOU! Currently we have both volunteer and paid caregiver positions open for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. No experience is necessary. Day School Assistant Teacher (Non-Exempt, Full-time, Non-Exempt Part-time)

University United Methodist Church currently has openings for Day School Assistant Teachers M-F 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. during the school year.

The successful applicant must be a person committed to Christ and His church with a love of children and their families, have a desire to serve in team ministry, be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and have a negative T.B. test. Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or its equivalent. Student Ministry School Year Intern Description (Part Time – 20 hours – Non-Exempt)

The applicant should be 2 years post high school graduation and have a love and passion for the Lord, students, and families. This internship is intended to help college students who are discerning a call to vocational ministry with students and families. As a school year intern, you would work 20 hours each week from September – May. Applicant must be available Wednesday evenings for programming and Sunday mornings, other hours will be flexible to meet your school/scheduling needs.

School intern will assist with planning, leading, and attending our Confirmation Retreat in September, Winter Retreat, over the MLK holiday weekend in January and our Enchanted Rock Campout on Good Friday. They will also rotate through teaching during our weekly worship service, Wednesday Night Live, as well as help lead Sunday morning programming for students. You also will have the responsibility of sending out a weekly email to all of our families and leaders.

College Ministry/UTSA Wesley Foundation Intern: 

University United Methodist Church currently has openings for three (3) College Interns.

The UTSA Wesley Foundation and College Ministry at University United Methodist Church are seeking individuals who have a love for Christ and want to grow in their faith while serving in this new area of ministry. This internship is intended to last the full length of the Fall and Spring Semesters, and will focus on creating opportunities for students to do ministry on UTSA’s campus as well as training them to continue growing as disciples in the next phase of their lives.

Responsibilities include planning/executing ministry events with the team, weekly staff meeting on campus, building relationships with students to help them connect to the ministry, welcoming and engaging students in worship and home groups, and other duties as assigned.

Day School Extended Care Supervisor (Non-Exempt, Part-time)

University United Methodist Church currently has an opening for an Extended Care Supervisor. This role will be Monday thru Friday from 2pm to 5pm during the school calendar year.

The successful applicant must be a person committed to Christ and His church with a love of children and their families, have a desire to serve in team ministry, be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and have a negative T.B. test. Qualifications include: very strong organizational skills, strong communication skills, effective communication with day school staff and ability to successfully oversee execution of afterschool activities while supervising staff and children.

 Day School Extended Care Educator (Non-Exempt, Part-time)

University United Methodist Church currently has an opening for an Extended Care Educators. This role will be Monday thru Friday from 7am to 8:30am and/or 2:30pm to 5pm during the school calendar year.

The successful applicant must be a person committed to Christ and His church with a love of children and their families, have a desire to serve in team ministry, be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., completed background check and have a negative T.B. test. Qualified candidates must be at least 16 years of age and working towards a high school diploma or its equivalent. Preference is given to candidates with experience working with young children.

Kids Ministry Associate - Elementary Education – (Full-time, 40 hours Exempt)

University United Methodist Church currently has an opening for a full-time Kids Ministry Associate of Elementary Education.

The candidate should have a love for the Lord, children and families in line with the ministry vision.  The candidate needs to have the ability to oversee Sunday and Wednesday programs for elementary age children - planning, recruiting, networking and evaluating.  This position will also have responsibility over other special events as assigned.

Nursery Caregivers – (Part-time, Non-Exempt)

The Nursery Ministry is presently seeking caregivers that are available to work a few weekday mornings weekly and also for Wednesday evenings. The time frame for the mornings is usually 9:00-12:30; Wednesday evenings is 5:30-8:15pm. Experience with previous child care is preferred, must be nurturing and appreciate the joys of working with young children.

FACILITIES (CUSTODIAL) POSITION (Part-time 29 hours, non-exempt)

University United Methodist Church currently has an opening for a Custodial position to include some weekdays and opening facility on weekends.

The successful applicant must be Christ-centered, able to maintain a safe and clean environment, have reliable transportation, custodial experience and physically able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. Responsibilities include opening facility on weekends, setting up and tearing down tables and chairs, using floor cleaning machine, and cleaning multiple areas of the campus.
