Choir

Chancel Choir - Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45pm
We are a diverse and dedicated group of volunteers. We're mostly people who have had some singing experience in the past, but it is not a requirement! No audition is necessary. The Chancel Choir sings most Sundays in worship at both the 9:30 and 11:00 worship hours in the Sanctuary. We ask that you commit to singing at least one of these services each week. We rehearse on the south side of campus in room 2008 Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:30 with fewer rehearsals in the summer months. Contact the church office for "Summer Choir" information.

Sanctuary Choir - Wednesdays, 7:45-8:30pm
We're an audition group of singers looking for an over-and-above challenge and commitment. We sing most Communion Sundays and also sing for special seasonal worship services. Participation in the Chancel Choir is required. Rehearsals are September through May on the south side of campus in room 2008.

Silver Bucket Singers - Mondays, 1:30-2:30pm
We are a group of Senior Adults who love to sing all kinds of music. We are an outreach group, singing most often in retirement communities or for other senior groups. We practice every week on the south side of campus in room 2011, taking breaks around holidays and in the summer. Come join us!

Orchestra

University Orchestra - Mondays, 7-8:30pm
Join us if you have high school level playing experience or higher. No audition is necessary to be in the orchestra if you are in high school or above. We provide instrumental music for worship that honors the musical gifts with which God has blessed us. We are asked to commit to playing in two worship services (usually 9:30 & 11:00) once or twice a month and at special seasonal services. These dates are scheduled well in advance. This ensemble meets from September through May in the Sanctuary.

Handbell Choir

We have three adult handbell choirs, and while each of the groups sets its own schedule, they ring generally from September through May. We each rehearse once a week on the south side of campus in room 2002. Ringers need to have some ability to read music and rhythm skills are especially important. Ringers are placed in groups according to their abilities and their schedule needs. Each group rings in Sunday worship a few times a year and also shares their music out in the community.

Agape Ringers - Tuesdays, 6-7pm
Lois Fritze Handbell Choir - Tuesdays, 7:15-8:30pm
Jubilee Bells - Thursdays, 7:15-8:30pm

Student Choir - Sundays, 12:15-1pm
Our student choir is a fun-loving group in grades 6-12 who enjoys music and fellowship in and out of rehearsals. Many of the participants sing in their high school choirs, and some music-reading experience is preferred, but we are happy to work with new members who want to improve their skills in order to use their voices to praise God. The Student Choir has opportunities to sing in worship several times a year, including special holiday services, as well as performances out in the community. Rehearsals take place in our Recital Hall on the south side of campus, room S2008.  Please click the button on the right side of the page that says “Click Here to Register” if you would like to participate in this opportunity and complete the online registration for Student Choir.

Orchestra

University Orchestra - Mondays, 7-8:30pm
Everyone in this group has at least a high school level of playing experience. We're a mix of students and adults. Auditions are not necessary if you are in high school. Middle school students will need to audition. We love to use the gifts God has given us to provide music for worship at scheduled Sunday mornings and at special seasonal services. Rehearsals run from mid-September through May in the Sanctuary. High school students in this group are able to earn scholarship money for college each time they play. These scholarship applications are now available.

Handbell Choir

Bells of Exaltation (Student Choir)- Sundays, 5-6pm
This group is for students with some previous music-reading experience such as band, orchestra or choir. We learn music more quickly and preform more often than the younger handbell and chime groups.

Kids (Kinder-5th Grade)

Choir

Children's Choirs (K-5th) – Sundays, 11:30am -12:15pm
Our Elementary Children’s Choirs are open to all children Kindergarten - 5th grade. No previous singing or musical experience is necessary, but participants should have a positive attitude and a willingness to participate. Regular attendance at Sunday morning rehearsals is expected. We are looking for children who want to have a lot of fun while learning more about music and the God we serve. These choirs meet September through May with a break at Christmas. They sing in Sunday morning worship approximately once a month.

Please note: Children's Choirs will not have rehearsals on Communion Sunday. On other Sundays, following the Children's sermon, staff and volunteers will meet children in the narthex of the Sanctuary and  lobby of the Worship Center and bring them to the Choir Recital Hall (S2008) . Parents will pick-up their children at 12:15 in S2008. Registration forms are available in the music and front offices.

Children’s Chime Choir - Wednesdays, 4:30-5:15pm
This is the perfect group for those with beginning ringing skills or those who want to learn a new music skill. The emphasis is on learning to make music together and there will be a few times scheduled throughout the September-May season when the group shares its music in a mini-concert or informal setting. All who can attend rehearsal regularly are welcome!
