A Service for Everyone

Posted by Amy Tullos on

Church family,

As the season of waiting comes to an end in just a few short days and we all commence with celebrating the birth of Jesus, I want to invite you to attend my favorite Christmas tradition: the Kids Chaotic Christmas Eve Service! There will be several Christmas Eve services for you to choose from this year at University, and they will all undoubtedly be lovely and meaningful. But, I can almost guarantee, this service will be the only one with kazoos, a light snowfall, and cookies.

Children are welcome in ALL worship services at University, but this one is created especially for them! We all know that children learn best through stories and movement and fun, so that’s what we’ve planned. Alongside their families and friends, kids will have the opportunity to actively participate in telling the story of Jesus’ birth. Using silly props, they will engage with the story by following the characters and musicians on stage. Most importantly, we will look to the manger, where all the hopes and dreams of the world come true in the life of one very special baby.

You do not have to be a child to enjoy this interactive service; people of all ages and abilities are invited to join us. And, as we like to say, “If it gets a little chaotic, then it’s sure to be a memorable way to kick off your family’s Christmas celebration!” After the service, we will have cookie decorating, a photo op., and hot chocolate. We hope you will extend the invitation to the kids and kids at heart in your life to join us on Christmas Eve at 11am in the North Campus Worship Center.

 Blessings,

 Amy Tullos
Kids Ministry Director
