An Abundance of Goodness

Posted by Rev. Ben Trammell on

Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.  Be hospitable to one another without complaining.  Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.

I Peter 4:8-10

Friends,

Bicycles, scooters, dolls, and the like have lined the halls this week as our staff and CPS workers organize and wrap the gifts that you brought for children in foster care as part of Project Giving Tree. Your love and generosity has been abundant, and we thank you for it.

Over the next few weeks, we will have many opportunities to show Christ's love, to be of generous spirit, as we prepare our hearts for Christmas morning. We will welcome many new and familiar faces through our doors. We will serve many cookies and much hot chocolate. We will share tamales and sing together. And as we do so, may the abundance of God's goodness spill over into our words of welcome and our attitudes of worship. May those we encounter, both at church and elsewhere, read the hospitality of God in our smiles.

We would especially appreciate your help with a few upcoming events, Please consider serving through one of the opportunities below.

Blessings,

Ben
