An Exciting Summer Event

Posted by Amy Tullos on

Church Family,

If you haven't already heard, Vacation Bible School is back this summer in all its fullness! Kids are signing up at a rapid pace and the excitement is churning. We anticipate the return to a very large and highly attended VBS this summer which means we need the help of our church body through your presence, your prayers, and your financial support.

Most of you know that registration is currently open to sign up your kids, but registration is also open for Student and Adult volunteers. I promise, regardless of your age, abilities, experience, or life stage, there is somewhere for you to serve the week of VBS. The volunteer registration links offer all the area options, but, if you're still not sure, I'm happy to help you pick just the right spot. I can guarantee your presence on June 21-24 (including set up day on June 20) will make a difference in the lives of many children and be a joyful experience for you.

As we continue to plan toward several hundred children joining us this June, we are thoughtful with each decision we make. For many, this will be their first encounter with church, and we know the impact can be life-changing. Please be in prayer with us that we are creating a space where children will know they are loved, belong, and have purpose. We will only have four days with some of these kids. Please start praying with us now.

The expense for VBS comes out to about $40 per child. Behind the scenes, VBS leaders have already begun making supply purchases to be ready with fun activities and decorations. These purchases are made on faith that the financial support will follow. There are three ways to give: a donation option when you sign up to volunteer, the church website (designate VBS), or a physical check/cash that can be dropped off at the church main office on weekdays or the children's welcome desk on Sunday mornings. VBS is FREE for all children to attend, and we want to keep it that way. Please prayerfully consider giving your financial support.

If you have any questions about the ways you can support VBS, I'm happy to help.

Blessings,
Amy Tullos
Director of Kids Ministry
