Exciting News From the Day School
Hi Friends,
Have you heard? The Day School is excited to be offering extended hours next school year! For the 2019-2020 school year, early care will begin at 7:30am and extended care will be offered until 5:30pm. This wraparound care can be added to our already existing 8:30am–2:30pm programming. Parents will have the option of adding before care, after care or both. It is our hope that families will be better accommodated by these new hours being offered.
I have had the privilege of watching as families walk into our doors for the past 16 years. I see their faces for the first time, I see little ones grow and I have the opportunity to see many return as they visit previous teachers! How fast and how precious these years are! The dedicated teachers reach these children and connect with them during these important early stages. Most of all, they love these children and love them well. We are looking forward with great anticipation as we continue to grow and meet the needs of the next generations.
The beauty of University's Day School is that it continues to grow and progress. Over forty years ago it was one of the first ministries of this church. It was in a farmhouse and operated as a Mother's Day Out. As time went on it developed into a Day School offering classes Monday thru Friday, and now we are evolving in to a full care program.
Registration for the 2019–2020 school year is currently underway, and we are excited about the new opportunities that are in store for our school and for all of the families that will walk through our doors. University Day School is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, an honor only a handful of programs in San Antonio have achieved.
