It Will Touch You Heart

Some of you may have already heard, but Kids Ministry has an exciting new way to volunteer with Kids Sunday School starting in January 2020. This new idea will allow the children of our church to have dependable and consistent adult or student leadership in their classrooms, while also respecting the time commitment involved for volunteers.
There are two levels of commitment available to volunteers:
1.) As a classroom lead teacher, the commitment is 10 months per year, but two weeks on and two weeks off each month. This position will be in charge of the class and lesson and will have the help of a second volunteer.
2.) The classroom helper (this is where we need most of you!) is a yearlong commitment but only helping in a classroom 6-7 times the entire year! This role requires zero preparation or teaching! Helpers will simply be there to play with, love on, and supervise children once every 8 weeks. Kids Ministry will provide everything needed for either role and will always send a reminder email when your Sunday is coming up.
We have every confidence this new system is going to be a success, but we need your help! Over the past few Sundays, this idea has been presented to the parents of children currently in Kids Sunday School and also to many adult Sunday school classes with the hope of recruiting help across all generational lines. However, we still cannot do it without the help of the church at large.
Yes, we are asking for your help, but we are also inviting you to be a witness to the innocence and joy of children. Leading University’s children is not only our responsibility but our privilege. You have been invited to come and experience for yourself their contagious laughter and catching energy. You just might be surprised at how their influence on you touches your heart!
In total, there are 240 volunteer slots that will need to be filled to ensure a fun and safe Sunday school experience for University’s children.
