To say the year 2020 looks decidedly different from 2019 is a huge understatement! About this time last year folks at University were getting ready for fall programming, including Hospitality. There is no denying that this year is different and will continue to be different as September approaches. However, the mission of the church never changes! We will still welcome and love in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and continue to reach out to those who do not know Him.
Every Sunday Morning, welcome teams will be at the doors welcoming all that enter. Greeters with smiles on their faces will help direct folks as needed. They and I have missed you!
Plans are being made to SLOWLY begin some programming, this includes coffee, donuts, and tacos on Sunday morning. Coffee will be served from 7:30 - 9:40am in the Atrium. Safety measures are being taken to ensure we are being as safe as possible while serving folks on Sunday mornings. Donuts and tacos, if and when, they return will also be a SLOW phase-in.
We are thinking out of the box (literally) for Wednesday night meals. We will have more information to come as we develop plans that will welcome those from University, as well as the community while being ever mindful of the necessity to stay safe for all. We are looking at ways for folks who need to get out of the house to enjoy simple conversation and fellowship outside on the grounds of the church.
No matter what comes around the corner for the rest of 2020, remember that He is ever faithful and is always there for you and me.
