We are very excited about the updates and additions to the Atrium space coming this summer. The video below offers more detail and images of the new indoor playscape. As a joint project with the Day School, we are thrilled to see God bringing together ideas and energy to bless and build the families of our community. The Atrium will also see the existing Day School library opened up to be a new check-in place for children. Further, into the Atrium, doors are planned where the John Wesley Room currently has windows to improve flow and expand the utility of the Atrium and the John Wesley Room. The existing coffee station which has minimal plumbing and serving capacity will be removed and a new Atrium Coffee Bar will be built.
The construction of the playground and check-in area is scheduled to begin Monday, June 27th with planned completion by mid-August. The Atrium doors to the John Wesley Room and the Atrium Coffee Bar will begin soon after with completion expected early in the fall.
These are excited improvements to our facility but the construction will impact building entrances and getting around for a few weeks. We seek your patience and as always invite your prayers.
The upgrade of the coffee bar will be considerable and creates an opportunity for another avenue of support for University and its ministries. Like the new chair campaign and the upgrade to facility signage, we invite you to target generosity towards making the coffee bar equipment and installation possible:
- A Donut each Sunday for a year 25 dollars
- Coffee each Sunday for a year 50 dollars
- Tacos each Sunday for a year 100 dollars.
Donations in any amount are appreciated but I have been struck by University's playfulness and precision in giving on such campaigns and I am excited to see what we do together on this one.
God is so good and is moving among the people and community of University. I am so honored to share this season with y'all.
