We'll See You Saturday

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18

Church Family,

To see the anticipation and joy of the season through a child’s eyes is beautiful. The way they delight in the simple joys of familiar songs and twinkling lights. It is my hope that in the midst of the sights and sounds they will long for the coming of Christ and the celebration of His life. As we are in this Advent season, as we prepare for His arrival, I hope you will join us for our Family Advent Festival and spend time with us treasuring this season with our children and reminding them about the gift that is on the way.

University Day School has hosted an annual Family Advent event for many years. This special time has been created to provide a space for families with young children to come to spend time together in a kid-friendly way. This year you may notice some significant changes to the event, and we are excited about blessing and welcoming even more families as they observe Advent together.

We have changed the day of the week and our length of time. This year our Family Advent Festival is on a Saturday. It will be this Saturday, December 10 from 11am to 2pm, and we are expanding our reach to include more families in the festivities. Families from the Day School, church, community, Impacto community and area CPS/Foster families are invited to join us. There will be crafts, snow, live music, food, photo ops, a petting zoo, games and more.

We ask that when your family arrives that you please park on the South Campus/Day School/Sanctuary side and cross to the North Campus parking lot where the festivities will be taking place. You can check in at the welcome table and join in this come-and-go event. Walk through the activities, meet new people and grab a bite to eat. Our hope is that as you spend time with us you will take a moment to treasure this time of year and see the season’s beauty through the eyes of a child.

We are looking forward to seeing you,
Amanda Nunneley
